Bladder Cancer (BCa) Biochip
Why use Biochip?
Triaging patients with unexplained haematuria at primary care is a huge challenge. In the UK, there are over 20,500 people diagnosed with Bladder Cancer (BCa) annually, either through non-visible haematuria (3-5% cancer risk) or visible haematuria (10-25% cancer risk). BCa costs the NHS (UK) over £72 million each year.
Cystoscopy is the gold standard for detecting BCa, despite being invasive and not without risk. BCa tends to have a high recurrence rate therefore patients require lifetime monitoring. Randox Biochip Array provides risk stratification to triage patients into ‘low-risk’ to ‘high-risk’ probability allowing the facilitation of the most urgent cases.

Randox have demonstrated multiplex biomarkers approach is equal to the sensitivity and specificity of the gold standard cystoscopy.

Meet the Cartridge
The Evidence MultiSTAT cartridge contains the reagents required for the chemiluminescent reaction to take place incorporated into its wells.
The process from sample entry to results can be completed in 2 simple steps, with minimal risk of human error.
No other components are required.
